Hiking Tumbledown
WOW!!!! Is all I have to say about our hike today. It was amazing. It was straight up rocky and wet I swear every time I looked up, I asked myself, "how am I going to hike up that" it was crazy. There were seven of us that went. Also as we got higher up the view was AMAZING!! I took some great pics, they will be posted later. I left my camera with one of the guys that went with me. I scraped my leg pretty good while hiking up to a water fall. When we got to the fall we had to climb up in it and there were 3 steel staple looking things that we had to climb up and come out the whole on top of the fall. It was pretty much the sweetest thing ever. Then we continued on and we got to a pond where 3 of the guys took a little swim. They brought a change of clothes so they went fully in and took some under water pics. We had a good time watching them because the water was PRETTY cold!!! The bugs weren't too bad. We hit some bad patches where we thought they were going to eat us alive, but they didn't...few!!!!! We didn't see any crazy animals while on the hike, just their poo, it was fabulous. Any who, the hike took us about 4 hrs total to finish. I'm very glad I was able to participate.. Don't worry, the pics will be posted tomorrow for all to enjoy.. NIGHT:).

Cabin Mates
Well, today was very productive. I worked on a few different projects today to get ready for campers to come in a few weeks. Also 2 people came that are in my cabin, SWEET!! I'm not alone anymore:) When they arrived at camp Sally( my office manager) asked ME to give the tour. She was joking and told the new staff I was a Veteran Staff. I laughed and went along with it. Later I told them I have only been here for 4 days. We had a good laugh at that. I gave them a tour and just pretended to know what I was talking about and knew where things were. In the office one of the directors commented on my phone skills :) Here in Maine they are very proper when they speak so I have to consciously think about what I am saying.
Precamp begins tomorrow, so the 28 staff that arrived today will be painting, weedwacking, mowing lawns, etc to get ready for campers. So much fun things to come. Here is a picture of one of my cabin mates, her name is Abbey.
The weather has been amazing, sunny and warm. I hope to get some sun this summer, I don't know how much i will get being in the office, but I will do my best. I have met some pretty fun people so far, some foreign staff arrived today from Poland, Ukraine and Russia.
Tonight me and abbey are hanging out watching Liar Liar and chatting with friends and family in the Internet, while others went to town to a movie The Hangover2. I'll put a pic up of my cabin mates later.
I almost forgot to tell you.. I got to drive a golf cart today.:) It was interesting, fun, scary and thrilling at the same time. Definitely something new for me...

Let the Adventure Begin
Well, as many of you know I came to Maine this summer to work at a summer camp. For confidentiality reasons I can't say the name of camp or campers names. I will tell you all about the adventures I am having and put pictures up of them.
To start out I have been at camp for 3 days now. The first 2 days were FREEZING...45 degrees, raining, and breezy. I sleep in a cabin that has no installation, windows with screens in them. All I had to sleep with is a fleece blanket, cotton blanket, and a sheet. I have now bought a sleeping bag and it is heaven to sleep in.
I have met some great people and have been very welcomed. I have had some great missionary opportunities. Most of the people at camp are Jewish, Protestant, and Catholic. It has been fun to answer their questions and also learn about their religions.
The first couple days were very lonely, I have been in my cabin by myself. My cabin mates don't show up until Thurs, which will be exciting. I have been taking advantage of my alone time though by listening to music with out my headphones and talking on the phone with friends and family.
At camp there are many different activities to do such as rock climbing, tennis, swimming, archery, water skiing, soccer, lacrosse,etc.. I have put up some pictures of my cabin and my view. It is beautiful here, nobody get jealous.:) This is my bunk that i sleep on..
